I've been soooo meaning to post an entry for the past few days, and I should've done one on my day off yesterday, but ah- not enough time. So I have three things to quickly post. The first two are Boyzone related:

First:

Stephen got married! And to someone so much cuter! Andy Cowles is much better looking than Eloy. And it's funny that Stephen still looks like EXACTLY the same as he did when Boyzone called it quits.

Second:

I got an email yesterday talking about Ronan Keating's new perfume and cologne:

HOPE BY RONAN

Ronan wanted a fresh, clean fragrance to be worn by women of all ages, every day, everywhere.

Hope is a unique blend of garden herbs and flowers. Mediterraneancoriander and rosemary combine with geranium, rose and jasmine tocreate a glorious, warm and uplifting scent.

Research has proved that the scent from herbs and flowers work on oursubconscious and raise our spirits. HOPE has been blended withingredients which are life enhancing. HOPE will make you feel good, which also makes it the perfect present.

The Eau de Parfum can be used during the day as well as in the evening.Musk and amber on the base give it its sexy glow when the lights godown.

The 50ml bottle sits in a specially designed foam box with its ownlivery. The bottle is generous in size and printed with Ronan’spersonal symbol for HOPE BY RONAN , complementing the male design ofBELIEVE.

The only other celebrity endorsed cologne that I can say smells good is Jennifer Lopez's, J.Lo - Glow. Her perfume line is nice. I don't own any of it, but I remember smelling it at Macy's once and being impressed by it. Am I crazy for wanting to buy a bottle of this perfume from Ronan? I mean, damn, I love Ronan. He's still WAY up there in my book. It's only £25, which is like $43 now. That's not too bad.

Third, and completely not Boyzone related:

This movie = sooooooo funny! I really didn't want to have high expectations when I went last night to see this, but oh this totally exceeded any expectations I had for it. I loved it so much after it was done! It was really cute overall, and it made me laugh so hard.

And it didn't hurt that this guy was in it:

Mmmm...mmmmm Channing Tatum! Goodness gracious, boy is hot.

Really, really, really hot. And he's dating Amanda Bynes FOR REALS. (Lucky bitch! But I can't hate her the way I hate Kirsten Dunst though.) For a guy who started off modeling, I must say that he wasn't too bad of an actor at all. In somewhat cheesy teen comedies- he definitely pulled this one off. And yeah Amanda Bynes I thought she was hilarious as a dude.

Ok, next post will definitely have pictures and etc. from this past week.

Whatever People Say I Am Thats What I Am Not

So these past few days have been sooooooo amazing! I think this week is going to get better and better, as long as I don't think about work.

Saturday the 11th:

Rainy almost all friggin day. But luckily when I get to the Wiltern, it's not raining. Thank goodness for that. I have Goldfrapp to see amongst a sea of gay mens. And I spotted Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age at a VIP exit downstairs!

Allison Goldfrapp is so amazing. I came into the show thinking it was going to be crazy and that I'd see really bizarre things- and all expectations were met and exceeded! I thought a lot of her album was mostly studio effects w/her voice, but nope- all of the songs she did were all her w/o any studio magic. And I went nuts when I saw her dancers come out for certain songs- that first photo there has her dancers with wolf faces.

And I gasped when I saw the dancers doing this: Image hosting by Photobucket

The second one has them in white suits and silver masks over their faces. And the third has them in white tops and white skirts w/some weird chain mail looking thing on their heads. And then I went apeshit when I saw this:

Ride the White Horse!! Ahh horse heads!!!! So awesome!!!

And it was super, super fun sitting in between two gay men, Mike and Aaron going absolutely crazy during points of the concert. Especially Aaron shaking that ass like nobody's business during Ooh La La. It was a really fun night and I was so happy to be there.

Sunday the 12th:

Irish Fair 2006

While it didn't have as many cool areas like the Irish Village and events as last year, Lani, Sally, and I still had lots of fun overall. Sally, being the England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland wealth of knowledge that she is, gave me and Lani very good history lessons on famous people to know from the above mentioned countries. And I got to pet horsies! And we had too much fun laughing at the son of McGrath family there in the last two pictures. Especially at his dancing- that was priceless! We also went to Tova's place later and that was nice since I hadn't seen the new house yet, and I got to see the cats! Ah I missed those kitties. And damn Tova, Lani, and Sally for making me want to listen to Westlife again! Gosh darnit...just when I want to stick to my new bands- Westlife sings that damn song Maybe Tomorrow that totally made me swoon...those bastards!

Monday the 13th:

OMIGOD!!!!

So I got a ticket to see the cast of How I Met Your Mother at the William Paley Festival for the Museum of Televisio nand Radio. I went with Jamie and Peter. We watched two episodes of the show, the pilot and the Pineapple one. The cast along with the creators and director of the show get interviewed by some dude from MT&R and then they pull questions from the audience. It was surprising to hear that most of the questions were directed to the creators of the show instead of the cast members. It must've been kinda boring for the cast to just sit there like that. The whole cast looks exactly the way they do on TV- they're all super cute. Alyson Hannigan with make up looks older than when I'm used to seeing her on TV. She's so pretty, same with Cobie Smulders. And the guys of the cast, *sigh* they are all adorable. I screamed a bit when they introduced Neil Patrick Harris- and rightfully so. He's like the main reason why I LOVE this show. I wanted to get to him first and foremost to get my picture, but the area to get to him was packed. Same with Alyson, I knew it'd be tough to get a picture with her period. So I got to Josh first, and wow he is really, really, really, really cute. Again, I'm amazed I was able to say that more than two words to him. I made my way to NPH next and he is such a nice guy. OMG, Jamie got to take the most hilarious picture with him:

Isn't that awesome??? Ah I laughed so hard when I was taking this photo. I shouldn't be surprised that she could take a picture w/him like that 'cuz it's Jamie and she just has the balls do that kinda stuff, but yeah I'm so stoked for her that NPH was game to do that. I would make that eternally as my Myspace photo.

Jason Segel is the first one in that lineup of photos from the night. He is so funny! Like he's really funny on the show, but in person, he seems like such a great guy to hang out with. He was doing like the head nod to random people in the audience. And he did the robot!

Damn such a good span of three days, now I have to remind myself Tuesday is just another a couple of hours I have to deal with until Wednesday night when I get to see Arctic Monkeys! Damnit that hype better be worth it.

Today, in between proofing and writing letters and waiting for certain programs to load, I was flipping through the newest issue of Vanity Fair, the Hollywood Issue. I try to get it every year because the pictures are always phenomenal, but then of course it's Annie Liebowitz and anyone to be photographed by her should consider themselves blessed. Anyway, enroute in flipping to the middle so I could get to this picture of Jake:

(*sigh* Lucky bastard that Tom Ford is for being able to primp Jakey at this shoot.)

and I read this article about Myspace that's really fascinating. It starts off talking about the whole Rupert Murdoch (aka the Devil, but since I use that title/name kinda liberally the way Kathy Bates' character in The Waterboy did, like referring our current president, Ticketmaster, and Kirsten Dunst [who I also have many names for besides Snaggletooth, Ms. Sunken-tits, and variations of words ending with Fucking Whore]. So I guess I can refer Rupert Murdoch as the Down Under Devil, since he's from Australia and all). Anyway, that whole Rupert Murdoch buying myspace is nothing new. I have no fears of him turning Myspace all around and censoring shit and putting a conservative spin to it. But the most interesting part of the whole Myspace expose was the large portion of the article that was devoted to this guy:

Jeremy Jackson, a.k.a. Hobie from Baywatch:

He's become one of those Myspacers. You know. Thousands of "friends." Really using Myspace for "dating" and "networking." It's so weird. I don't understand how people can get so caught up in it. Ok, I take that back. I do understand but I still think it's strange that we live in this type of culture where you can increase your "popularity" simply through a friggin Myspace profile. It's crazy. The main reasons I keep a Myspace profile is to know the whereabouts of my friends and to keep myself updated with news of my favorite artists/musicians that have profiles. I know it's cool sometimes to meet the people you've "met" on Myspace, but the dating each other through Myspace creeps me out. I don't know...I think online dating makes more sense with those services like match.com, eHarmony, etc.

On to better things, I am still in awe of Sufjan Steven's music right now. I finally got the album I've been searching for after much enough harrassing to the staff at Borders to get their shelving act together. On this Michigan album it lists that he played at least 20 instruments- from oboe, to English horn, to glockenspiel, and etc. 20! Can you believe that? It's amazing, I love it!

Damnit, and I have to take a break from listening to him to because I have to prepare myself for super gay icon, Goldfrapp.

While I'm familiar with a few songs from Black Cherry and her newest album, Supernature, I can't say that I know enough of her songs to the point that I'll be comfortable at her show this Saturday. I hate going to shows where I only know the singles or 1 or 2 songs. I really hope that with this show it's going to be as crazy as what I've read about in NME where she has some of her dancers wearing horse heads.

I was going to end my post on that, but I just spotted a bulletin that Tiffany put on Myspace that was interesting. It had a list of personality descriptions that went with each month of the year. This is what it said for October:

Loves to chat. Loves those who love them. Loves to takes things at the center. Inner and physical beauty. Lies but doesn't pretend. Gets angry often. Treats friends importantly. Brave and fearless. Always making friends. Easily hurt but recovers easily. Daydreamer. Opinionated. Does not care to control emotions. Unpredictable. Extremely smart, but definitely the hottest AND sexiest of them all.

I'd say that 10 of the sentences above apply to me.
